A circular walk from Bakewell along the Wye and Derwent Valleys passing Chatsworth House and the village of Rowsley.Three short steep climbs which are rewarded with magnificent views of the Derwent valley. There is a steep climb from the start point in Bakewell and we then walk across the high pastures overlooking Chatsworth house. We walk through the pretty estate village of Edensor, and you may spot the homemade produce stall(see attached photo). The walk leader highly recommends the homemade biscuits! We will have a late coffee stop by the entrance to the house where there are toilets and a refreshment kiosk. We will have lunch by the side of the river Derwent on the estate. The walk continues to the village of Beeley and another climb to the woods and a descent to Rowsley with lovely views. From Rowsley we undertake the final ascent above the valley and a gentle descent to the river Wye and across the meadows back to Bakewell.Opportunity to enjoy refreshments in Bakewell.
