Setting off from the lovely village of Chedworth in the heart of the Cotswold Hills, we will head first into mature oak and beech woods above Chedworth. Our route then takes us along the Coln valley with charming views of the meandering river Coln, followed by the pretty village of Withington. We then climb up into Withington Woods before dropping back down to Chedworth again.
Bring a packed lunch and drinks.
Walking boots are essential, as well as gaiters/waterproofs depending on the weather.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
Please bring your £2 cash to pay for parking at Chedworth Village Hall.
**Note about flooding: there is a flood alert on the River Coln and its tributaries, which means that some parts of this walk may be affected by flooding. We are still doing the walk tomorrow, but the group will need to be flexible and we may need to retrace our steps and/or take alternative routes to higher ground if our route is blocked by floodwater. This may mean that the walk is shorter, or there may be more road walking than expected.**
