The final leg of our Cheshire Circuit walk, Bartington to Frodsham, around 7.5 miles.
As we leave Bartington and the Leigh Arms we proceed on good level paths to Dutton Lock where we cross the river Weaver. From this point we head onto well trodden paths across fields and through woodlands. First passing under an impressive 19 arch railway viaduct before entering a small caravan park followed by a pleasant walk through Hunters Wood and Nature reserve. As we leave the woods the route follows the old Frodsham cut and passes an old lock and goes under another impressive railway viaduct. We return to the Bears Paw and the end of our walk skirting Frodsham playing fields and bowling green. There will then be a celebratory meal at the Leigh Arms.
There are still some places on the coach if you wish to join us, £20 for the coach and £20 for the meal. Contact Martin, martinsmalley100@yahoo.com, for more details.
