A circular walk starting from the village of Hambledon in the Chilterns climbing into the lovely hills and woods to the west of the Hambledon Valley. We than descend to the villages of Turville and Fingest before returning to Hambledon along the valley floor.
A few moderate climbs at the start of the walk and flat for the last section along the valley floor. Good paths. Can be muddy. Moderate pace.
Parking charges apply at Hambledon Village Car Park. In January these were £4 for 6 hours or £5 all day. Payment is via a machine in the car park (credit card) or via the Pay by Phone app. The village shop sells coffee and pasties and is open at 8am. The Stag and Huntsman pub (next to the car park) opens at 8am and serves breakfast.
