On the slopes of Bolt's Law, above Baybridge is a lonely pine tree which gets decorated each Christmas with baubles and tinsel. This expedition is to the summit of Bolt's Law and visits this tree. The route is through woodland and on reasonably good moorland paths, For those not up for the full walk, it's possible to park on the moorland road from Baybridge to Stanhope and make a very short walk to the tree. Christmas hats are encouraged, as are mince pies, cake in fact, anything festive.
