From the car park on Werneth Low we follow the track via Uplands Farm to Hyde's Farm and Beacon Houses to Apple Street and Idle Hill with great views over Manchester. Down on the Tameside trail through the country park to the Hacking Knife returning to the carpark.

We normally stop for a drink after about an hour walking and we will stop for lunch at about 12:00 so bring along a hot or cold drink and a packed lunch.

After the walk all are invited back to Catherine and Colin's house for Mulled Wine, mince pies etc. None walkers are welcome to join us at the house about 1.30 for drinks etc.
