We are the Guildford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A varied vigorous walk through woods visiting Pitch Hill and Holmbury Hill, then following the zig zag path up and down through Winterfold. Returning to the start via Winterfold Hill, Reynards Hill and Ewhurst windmill. Lots of ascents and descents on rocky tracks which can be wet and muddy. Waterproof boots and poles recommended. Expect a brisk pace on this walk.
A coffee refreshment stop at the top of Holmbury Hill in the morning. Picnic lunch in Peaslake. Optional cafe at the end of the walk.
Hurtwood No 3 Pitch Hill car park. A25 from Guildford. A248 towards Albury but left into New Road, then left again into Park Road. Turn right over the railway bridge into House Hound Road. Follow for about 2 miles, car park signed on the left.
