Meet outside the Spofforth Castle entrance at 10. The castle pub charge for parking and only allow parking for customers . Park on Castle Street. For a brisk country walk towards Kirby Overblow. Can be v wet & muddy in parts .A little road walking before joining the rocky path towards Sicklinghall, for refreshments at the Scott’s arms . Followed then return journey taking in part of Stockeld Park and return to Spofforth. Maybe cattle in some fields .
The walk is estimated to be 7/8 miles . Undulating. By public transport on the no 7 Leeds/Harrogate route and the X70 Wetherby/Harrogate
