Join us and enjoy moderate walking with a flat walk on the coast followed by one long ascent to set you a challenge. See great views over the Menai Strait and breath lots of fresh air! We will begin the walk from Aber and take the Wales Coast Path to Llanfairfechan, calling in at the cafe on the seafront for a quick drink to warm us up. Then we’ll walk through the village and up to the North Wales Path, ascending steadily to join the Roman Road. We will descend along this Road and continue down the lane into Aber, perhaps calling at Cafe Hen Felin before heading home.
This moderate grade walk of 9 miles involves a continuous, gradual ascent from sea level to 400 metres (1300 feet) on a good path with no steep drops alongside. It is a good opportunity to challenge yourself and test your fitness without committing to a mountain walk.
The walk is not suitable for dogs because of livestock.
Booking is requested. Please text me on 07908 128768 and I will confirm your place.
There is a free car park and a toilet at the start and at the cafes. The car park is just off the A55.
Please note: the walk will be cancelled in the event of a severe weather warning issued by the Met Office. Notice of cancellation will be given on this website and Facebook at Ynys Môn Ramblers Group and the leader will not attend the site.
