Overview

A circular walk from Barham, via Broome Park, Denton, Selsted and Rakeshole Farm, taking in some interesting architecture along the way with the early 17th Century Broome Park, the Georgian Denton Court and finally the farmstead of Tappington Hall, the site reputedly being the hiding place of the four knights who murdered Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral, amongst other grisly stories!\nMeet on the green next to the Telephone Box on Valley Road, almost opposite Farmhouse Close. Parking on the road in the vicinity. \nNothing booked for lunch but I will probably go along to the lovely Fifth Trust Cafe just a couple of minutes drive away if anyone would like to join me.
