Overview

Meet at free public car park on B1026, next to Abberton Reservoir and St. Benedict's Church (Layer Church), Church Rd, Layer-de-la-Hay for a circular walk via Abberton reservoir, Friday Woods and Mill House. Then through Chess Wood to Birch. 

Towards the end of our walk, we pass the Hare and Hounds, where we could stop for refreshments. Bring a packed lunch.
