We are the Colchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Meet at the Garrison Church, Homefield Road, (grid ref TL 983 224, post code CO2 9PF , what three words flown. wooden. bliss), for a circular walk around Gosbecks and out to Birch. We will then come back into Stanway via the Zoo and the quarry, before stopping for lunch at Stanway Lakelands Centre. The café' here serves hot drinks and food but, are happy for us to eat our own food on the picnic benches outside. Toilets are available.
We then continue on past the lake and through Stanway Green back to the car park. Please note that this will be a long morning (7 miles) and a short afternoon (4 miles)
