Starting at the junction between Rempstone Road and Merley Lane, this walk takes us along the Castleman Trailway to the outskirts of Broadstone. We go briefly along the Roman Road and on to Ashington Cutting, an old disused Railway embankment and then into Happy Bottom. We return to the start point along the Stour Valley Way, passing the Willett Arms on the way.
There is roadside car parking near the start point and the walk is bus accessible. Use the More Bus number 6, alight Oakley Straight, giving a 5 minute walk to the start point. There will be one break for refreshments you have brought with you.
