Overview

Meet Bridgewood Car Park, Orwell Country Park.

Circular walk through excellent woodland and riverside views of Woolverstone and Pin Mill on opposite bank, as well as all types of boats, to Levington Church for lunch (plus Ship Pub for refreshments). Walk along Stour and Orwell path, including short quiet road walks to more woodland and to Nacton Picnic site and then return.

Navigation Info: It is straightforward to arrive at start, but it could be confusing for the first time. Coming from Colchester, exit the A14 at Junction 57, then take the first slip road on left. This will bring you to the A1189 going West. Take the first left onto Priory Lane (small road going towards Golf Course). Pass the first small car park on left and cross over the single track bridge over the A14. Immediately after crossing the bridge turn right , signposted  to Bridgewood Car Park and this will bring you to our Car Park for start.
