The walk leaves from the main Tissington car park. It cuts over the Tissington trail to head through the pretty village of Parwich, then cross country to pick up the High Peak Trail near Longcliffe. This point ofers good views across the Peak District. There is also a handy spot to picnic. The route then passes by Roystone Grange and returns to Tissington.
The carpark is the main Tissington Village and trail car park. It costs £6. There is a little kiosk for refreshments and tea rooms in Tissington if we are back in time. There are toilets in the carpark.
