We are the Welshpool Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A seven mile circular walk from the car park at the western end of the Llyn Clywedog. The route follows parts of the Glyndwr Way and quiet roads with views over the lake and surrounding countryside.
All are welcome but no dogs on the walk please (except registered assistance dogs by arrangement).
From western end of Newtown bypass, continue on road to Llanidloes. At roundabout take 3rd exit into Llanidloes. At next roundabout take third exit over river, and then turn left onto the B4518 to Llyn Clywedog. After 2 mile turn left at the sign to Bryntail Mine and Clywedog dam. Continue on the road past the dam and along the lake for 6 miles. Then turn right into car park.
