Overview

We will follow footpaths through ancient woodland, farmland, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and National Nature Reserve. The area is drained by tributaries of the River Enborne which itself drains into the Kennet. Starting off through the Pamber Forest, we dip into the edge of Tadley, formerly famous for making bricks and besom brooms, including besoms for the Harry Potter films. Next comes Baughurst, followed by Ashford Hill National Nature Reserve and SSSI.  Between Ashford Hill and Goose Hill part of the trail follows the River Enborne, much of which forms the border between Hampshire and Berkshire.  This is a gently undulating walk through the beautiful North Hampshire countryside.
