This is a coach walk.
The coach starts from Nottinghamshire County Hall, Loughborough Road, Nottingham NG2 7QP at 9.15am and Maid Marian Way (outside Tesco) at 9.30am

There will be a choice of four walks of varying distance to suit most abilities
A WALK - Leader: Martin Moorhouse - 12 miles
Route: Baslow, Eagle Stone, Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt Edges, lunch at Grouse Inn, Bar Brook Reservoir, Big Moor (for adder and deer spotting!) Wellington's Monument, Baslow.
B WALK - Leader: Bohdan - 9 miles
Our route today is relatively flat and leisurely. It follows the River Derwent to Calver then Froggatt at which point we encounter a steep, narrow, uneven and rocky path, poles advisable, up to Curbar Edge leading to Baslow Edge then returning to Baslow.
Walking the Edges offers excellent and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
There is the possibility, at the halfway point, of liquid refreshment at the Chequers Inn and an option to extend the walk by 1.4 miles.
C WALK - Leader: Paul Wagstaff - 7 miles
Route: Baslow, Froggatt Edge, below Curber Edge, Froggatt Bridge, the DVH Way via Calver and Bubnell to Baslow
Terrain: steady climb to Froggatt Edge then level, moderate descent to Froggatt Bridge, then level
Tea at Baslow if time available

Please sign up at least three days prior to the date of walk. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place. Please do not turn up for a walk without booking, as we will have to turn you away.

Cancellations received BEFORE 8pm the Thursday preceding the Sunday Coach - NO CHARGE.
Cancellations received after 8pm on the Thursday preceding the Sunday coach will INCUR A £5 CHARGE.
