Welcome to the Nottingham group, now in its 45th year. If you are looking for a walk - be it a challenge, a dawdle, or something in between, around the Peak District or some local delight - we provide them all, in our friendly and welcoming group.

HERE'S WHAT WE OFFER . . .

A PRIVATE COACH, usually into the Peak District, runs monthly on a Sunday, with a choice of three walks - a Grade 'A' hard walk of 8-10 miles, possibly with more difficult conditions, a grade 'B' moderate walk of 6-8 miles and a grade 'C' easy walk of 4-6 miles (Coach fare for members £13 and £15 for non members).
Once a month we have a SUNDAY LOCAL WALK utilising public transport of 7-9 miles
Twice a month we have a WEDNESDAY WALK again using public transport.
And for those less energetic we offer MONTHLY STROLLS, an easier walk once a month on a Wednesday of 6 miles or less.
We have made it easy and low cost for everyone, so put on your boots, leave the car in the garage, reduce your carbon footprint and increase your feeling of wellness - join us.

PLEASE NOTE

If anyone is booking a holiday with The Ramblers holiday company don't forget to nominate our group as we will receive
UK holidays - £10 per person booked
Short haul holidays - £20 per person booked
Long Haul holidays - £30 per person booked

COACH PAYMENTS

There is an option to make coach payments by bank transfer if that is more convenient for you.
The payment needs to be made by the Thursday before the Sunday coach, in order for Lin to check the bank statement please.

Anne Blagden

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of a great Ramblers' character - Anne Blagden. Anne was a member of the Nottingham Ramblers but also walked with Sheffield - and many other Ramblers' groups. Although she hasn't walked with us for the past few years she will, nevertheless, be well remembered by many older members as being an independent lady with a great sense of humour whose personality could not be ignored. Anne travelled the world, her great love being Australia. Rest in peace!
