We explore historic Trent Park then move on to Enfield Chase with its long history. We walk through ancient woodland then along stretches of both the abandoned and active stretches of the old “New River” and enjoy the grounds and gardens of Forty Hall before arriving at our destination of Turkey Street station in Enfield for our return home.
This is a linear walk starting at Cockfosters tube station. It is most suitable for public transport access but if coming by car, you can park in the free visitor car park at Trent Park but you would have to take the train back to Cockfosters at the end. There is a pay car park (£6 per day) at Cockfosters tube station.
Please bring a picnic lunch. Toilets at the start and Forty Hall. We leave Cockfosters tube station at 10:45 and pass through Trent Park car park at 11:00. Please meet us by the toilet block. In line with Ramblers new guidelines, please let the walk leader know if you are coming and where you will be joining us. Use the email link to make this contact.
