We are the Mid Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start with a steady ascent to Ansty Hill and on to Knook Castle. We then take the Imber Range perimeter path down to Heytesbury. A short section of the descent is steep. We will return following the Wylie Valley through Upton Lovell back to Codford. The walk should offer some wonderful views and pretty villages along the way.
Bring lunch and refreshments.
Poles/sticks may be useful as it is likely to be muddy in part. Chalk can also be slippery when wet. There may be livestock en-route.
You must book with the leader in the week preceding. Text preferred. You are not confirmed until you get a reply.
Dogs are at the walk leaders discretion.
Starting Point: Park in the “No through Road” which is part of the former main road to the North side of Codford St Peter, close to the Murco fuel station.
