We are the West Midlands 40+Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A fair distance at 11.4 miles but mostly flat walk, crossing agricultural fields with styles, also using forestry paths and the Shropshire union canal to arrive at Breewood after crossing the ornate columned estate bridge. Brewood is our half way point stopping in this lovely old town's church yard for lunch, there is also a pub. We return crossing the old tree lined upper avenue to Chillington hall now home to grazing sheep. The figure of eight brings us back to the canal and across more fields this time home to horses before returning to Codsall which has nice pubs if you fancy a late Sunday lunch. Be prepared for stinging nettles, brambles, mud and burning hot sunshine. Maybe not the sunshine. Bring a packed lunch.
