This 10 mile walk uses a mixture of tracks & paths to explore the hamlets of Temple Guiting, Cutsdean, Taddington & Wood Stanway. It also includes a section of the Cotswold Way. The walk offers some fine countryside with rolling hills & grand views.
The walk starts at Temple Guiting village hall. The first half of the walk is mainly fields but we do have a section of approx 400 metres of verge walking on the B4077 to reach Ford, where extreme care is required. There is a climb to reach Stumps Cross from Wood Stanway & a further climb near the end of the walk.
There is likely to be muddy sections on this walk following the recent rain.
There are over a dozen stiles.
Please bring food & drink for 2 coffee stops & a lunch stop.
Sorry but no dogs, unless for assistance.
Hopefully we will get sightings of the Reeves Pheasant which has a tail that can measure over 6ft in the breeding season, Mar - Jun.
