This gently undulating walk takes us through the Coundon Wedge on the edge of the city of Coventry. It will pass the Peace Orchard, then through the newly planted Coundon Wood before heading into reputedly one of the best examples of unspoiled Arden countryside in the Heart of England. We will pass through a distinctive burial ground near Allesley village before crossing a bridge into Allesley Park, where we will have our lunch break. There are toilets here. Returning over the bridge and crossing the little River Sherbourne we will pass through fields back to the start.
Waterproof trousers/gaiters are recommended as we will cross afield with tallish crops.
Refreshments are available at a nearby pub after the walk.
