We are the Wetherby Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A Circuit from Crayke to Oulston
1. The toll bridge at Aldwark is closed. Please take a route either via York or Boroughbridge.
2. There are roadworks around Crayke which may cause delays, so please take these into account before setting out.
3. The originally planned walk wasn't going to be that enjoyable: there were lots of badly maintained footpaths, and bulls in one of the fields. So we have decided to go for "plan B" which is from Crayke to Oulston. This is a walk I have done before, but many years ago, so most of the current walking group will not remember it. In any case, it is a brilliant walk with one of the best views I know which I hope to attain for lunch.
Note: I have reported all the issues on the original walk. So I hope to do this one at a better time of year - possibly Autumn or early Spring, when the crops are either harvested or too young to be obstructive
