From Creswell Crags Visitor Centre we follow the Robin Hood Way to the edge of Sherwood Forest. Returning across fields to Creswell Crags, we walk round the gorge beneath caves occupied by stone age people over tens of thousands of years. There is an opportunity after the walk to visit the museum (entrance fee) and café. Caves can only be visited by booking guided tours; if you book a tour it should start at 1430 at the earliest and you should coordinate with others in the same car.
The walk is on paths with very little ascent or descent. The walk leader has assessed this walk for the following risks, but during the walk others may become evident. You will come across stiles, gates and other path furniture, hedges etc. You will come across road crossings, fields with crops, muddy/slippery sections, farm livestock & warning signs. You should remain alert and take individual responsibility.
