This is a nice coastal circuit, taking us through and out past Cromarty and leading us along field margins across the headland, towards a steep decline down to some big rock formations (and a big swing!) which we will go down to if the weather and ground surface permits. We'll then climb back up and follow the coast around, walking through woodlands and fields, until we get back to Cromarty. The walk will more or less follow the Cromarty coastal circuit on walkhighlands.co.uk.
Bring a drink and snack for a pitstop by the rock formations.
Sign up by contacting the walk leader by 7pm the day before at the latest.
If you intend to drive to the walk and are willing to offer lifts from Inverness, please let the walk leader know when you sign up. If you want to car share, please inform the walk leader as well. Please be prepared to contribute towards petrol costs (35p per mile divided by the number of people in the car).
Mixed terrain, including paved and gravel roads, field margins and woodland tracks, and small path down to a rocky beach.
Walking boots /shoes required. Please do not show up to the walk in trainers or shoes without grip as the path may be slippery!
Bring waterproofs, extra layers (incl. hat & gloves - it can still be cold outside!) and suncream (you never know with the Highlands in the spring!).
