LVF Ramblers is a friendly, sociable group, specialising in short leisurely weekend walks of 3-4 miles in town & country, mainly accessible by public transport.
Meet 10.30am at the
bottom of the escalator at street level of Crossharbour Station (DLR). If coming from Stratford, keep on the upper DLR level for the correct train. You may need to change at Canary Wharf. Join me for an interesting historical walk around the old Millwall Dock, learn about the famous Millwall Football club, view an area built along the lines of the first Garden Cities, discover a road named after a historical Clipper ship and hear about the Mudchute area and how it came to be formed. Refreshments and toilets. Finishing at Island Gardens Station (DLR).
