A new moderately-paced walk through rolling countryside with some fine views. We go via Haultwick and Wood End to Benington, with it's duck pond, church, and hopefully lots of snowdrops. We return through Burns Green, Benington Park and Green End.
Bring a picnic. Brief pub stop for a quick drink only (pub does not serve hot drinks or food). Optional car share from Barnet: Victors Way Car Park, EN5 5TR - W3W: rocks.gain.votes. Departs sharp at 09:00 (23 miles). Walking Poles recommended in winter months.
Dane End. Turn left 440 yards north of The Boot pub into Church Lane. After 460 yards, please park cars close together and tight to the verge or wall to the north or east of All Saints Church.
