A moderate walk of 12.5 miles on footpaths from Hexton to Lilley. A chance to stretch your legs and tone muscles, as the days get longer, in the beautiful Barton Hills - part of the Chiltern Escarpment. The shorter afternoon section gently contours through Pegsdon Hills Nature Reserve to Deacon Hill from where we descend back to Hexton.
Bring a picnic, Brief pub stop (drink only).

Hexton. Please do not park in Hexton Village. Please use the Hexton JMI school car park. Approaching from the east (Hitchin), turn right off Barton Road B655 into the school driveway, about 150 yards west of Mill Lane but before St Faith's Church.
