A linear walk taking the bus from Sourton Cross to Mary Tavy. From Mary Tavy we journey along the Dartmoor Way to ancient Lydford and on to Sourton Tor. Visiting churches, a castle and downs along the way. Far reaching views on a clear day. 1,100 ft of ascent.
This walk has a number of ladder stiles which are unsuitable for dogs.
Prewley Waterworks. Off A386 just after A30/A386 interchange south of Okehampton. Park at end of track near Waterworks. Ensure you are in time to catch the Dartline bus 118 at 10.42am Sourton Cross to Mary Tavy (arr 11.09am). If applicable, remember your bus pass!
