Overview

A figure of 8 walk in and around Maldon.

A 10.5 miles moderate walk, with 6 miles in the morning, to the West of Maldon through the countryside, mainly on public footpaths with some roadwork on quiet country lanes with minimal ascent/descent.

Lunch will be at the historic Blue Boar Inn, Silver Street, Maldon.

The afternoon will be 4.5 miles, primarily through Maldon itself, including the historic Hythe Quay, which was used as a location for the filming of The Essex Serpent (Apple TV), as was Silver Street. Again, minimal ascent/descent.
