We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is an evening walk from Eliburn Park along surfaced paths to reach Dechmont Woods which we will walk through, passing the well known site of a UFO incident in 1979 before ascending Dechmont Law from which we should hopefully have far reaching views in all directions. After seeing what places we can recognise at night we will continue through the park & along surfaced paths to return to the start.
Walking boots & a headtorch are recommended as the woods are unlit & may be muddy. If you have shoe grippers these may be useful at this time of year in case of frozen paths.
