Overview

Circular walk eastwards through countryside that inspired two well-known painters: John Constable and Alfred Munnings.  Using the St Edmund and Essex Ways the walk follows the Stour valley and then climbs up for fine autumnal views across the Vale. It is hilly, with 3-4 stiles but generally the paths are good. We will have a short stop so bring refreshments - there are a lot of local cafes etc at the end of the walk in Dedham.
