Overview

A walk from Charlton Kings up on to the Cotswold Way at Ravensgate Common. Then on to Seven Springs and Hartley Hill, descending through the woods with a good view of Devil's Chimney from below. Far reaching views on a clear day. Be prepared for mud and please bring poles if you use them.

Refreshment stop and picnic lunch.

If coming from the east along A40 please ignore road closed signs. Access to Charlton Kings is still possible along the East End Road. Drive along the narrow road through the village towards the church, then swing left around the church and left again. Go along Little Herberts Road, past the Church Piece Car Park, the cemetery, the allotments and some houses. Sappercombe Lane is a tiny road on the left before Beeches Road. Go along Sappercombe Lane, avoiding the potholes. The Playing Field car park is just past some allotments.
