From the Ditchling recreation ground, the walk goes east through woodland and follows farm land tracks to Hayleigh Farm where the walk turns Northward. After a short stretch along a lane, we turn right onto farmland and cut back West towards Streat, turning right by the church to eventually retrace our path at Hayleigh Farm.
If the weather has been very wet, the walk may have to take a country lane from Gallops Farm to Streat, reducing the mileage to 5 miles.
