Overview

A glorious walk through downs, farmland, river bank and woodland. Starting at Bramber village, we walk south west along the Monarch's Way to get a beautiful view of Steyning Bowl. We then turn back east along the South Downs way and Annington Hill before stopping at the Saxon church at Botolphs for a picnic lunch. From there the route takes us north up the bank of river Adur, returning to Bramber around the back of the castle. The walk includes a fairly steep climb early on, several kissing gates and a couple of stiles. If you don't want to do the full 7 miles, we will be passing through Bramber after about 5.5 miles and you can leave us at that point.
