Overview

From Ditton recreation ground we follow quiet lanes and footpaths that soon open into the Kent countryside.  The walk then heads towards Oaken Wood, a well loved ancient woodland.  The path winds through the trees occasionally revealing glimpses of the surrounding farmland. Emerging from the woods we will enter the quaint village of East Malling from where we head back to Ditton via the East Malling Research Station - a historic hub for horticultural science.
