We are the Clitheroe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

To the North of Helvellyn lie the hills of Great Dodd, Watson's Dodd, Stybarrow Dodd and Hart Crag. They are predominately round and grassy and with relatively small drops between them. The paths give easy fell walking, mainly on grass, though a bit damp in places. The car park is quite high at 400m, so total ascent is only 600m.
We will take a more conservative approach to the weather than usual and cancel the walk if weather forecast is poor. (There is little point tramping round in low cloud and drizzle.)
Clitheroe Ramblers expect to arrange a 5 mile walk closer to home on the same day, following their usual Tuesday pattern.
