A circular ramble.
A walk around Studland Bay taking in Old Harry Rocks and the Agglestone offers some of the most dramatic and varied coastal scenery in Dorset. Starting from the village of Studland, the route climbs gently along the chalk cliffs to reach Old Harry Rocks, where the gleaming white stacks and arches rise strikingly from the turquoise sea. From this high vantage point, there are sweeping views across Poole Bay and the Isle of Wight. The path then turns inland across heathland rich in heather, gorse, and sandy tracks toward the Agglestone Rock, a huge weathered sandstone boulder steeped in local legend. The mix of sea cliffs, open heath, and panoramic views makes this a truly memorable walk, showcasing the wild beauty of the Isle of Purbeck coast.
