Dover to St Margarets Bay on the White Cliffs

Meeting point: outside Marks and Spencer, St James Square Retail Park, Dover CT16 1QD\nParking: free on Sundays at St James Square. May need to register your car at terminals on arrival. \n\nWalk eastwards along the seafront before a stepped climb on the Dame Vera Lynn Way above the Eastern Docks. Join the National Trust White Cliffs trail to South Foreland Lighthouse with sweeping views of the Channel. Drop down the steep descent past the Pines Gardens and into St Margarets Bay. Time for a drink at the Coastguard pub on the beach, at the Beach kiosk or at the Pines Gardens cafe. \nReturn via a mixture of cliff paths and quieter inland National Trust paths. \nToilets - on seafront en route and at various places on the walk.
