We’ll walk along the road to the village church where we go through the grounds to join the Monarch’s Way, named after the long ride by King Charles II after his defeat in the civil war. After walking up a slight incline and across a private air strip to a B road we will follow this to reach an Alpaca farm, then down a lane to open fields, crossing a ford and back along a track to Doynton.
This walk has good scenery looking towards the Cotswolds.
We can have a drink in the Cross House pub afterwards.
