Overview

A very gentle walk indeed to an unfrequented part of Bentley wood. The Draining Field is rewilded arable land with a large and now well-established pond and hides. Slow pace and frequent pauses for wildlife, particularly dragon and damselflies (bring field guides and binoculars if you have them). The walk can be extended depending on weather and wishes of anyone turning up. We'll be returning later in the year for the autumn crocus (meadow saffron).

No booking. Children (bring nets, jam jars and tubs for blackberries) and dogs very welcome.
