Overview

A bit further afield than our usual short Sunday walks. The canals around Salisbury are disused but this walk includes an interesting stretch of the Kennet & Avon Canal, reopened in 1990. But not much is left of the original ancestral home of the Seymours, although I was told on my recce that a descendent lives there today. And Wolf Hall, (like Ithaca and Walsingham?), is surely worth visiting for the resonance and associations of the name. No booking. Children and dogs welcome.
