We are the Amber Valley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a change from the original walk starting in Duffield due to the present conditions of the Derwent, Erewash rivers and the many cultivated fields. This new route has been selected to avoid the majority of mud!
A walk with Jane and Dave Walking - From Wirksworth to Middleton Top via the Star Disc. Along the trail and picking up the Midshires Way for a short distance before cutting back to Bolehill land finally back to Wirksworth..
Steep assent out of Wirksworth and then mainly downhill / gently undulating with very few stiles.
Free car park on Canterbury Road, Wirksworth (Off Derby Road B5023). Additional parking available on street.
