The walk begins by strolling along the leat to the weir, both part of Dulverton’s 14th century watermill system and industrial heritage. Then the path zig-zags steeply up to Hollam Ridge, then heads north towards Marsh Bridge. We walk for about 2 miles along the banks of the River Barle as far as the Brewers Castle hillfort, and circle back over the hills to Dulverton. Varied walking, glorious views and plenty of historical interest.
If you would like to join this walk, please notify the leaders, preferably by email, so that they can inform you of any late changes to arrangements.
