Overview

Starting in Dunkeld, we will walk over the bridge .and follow the river into Birnham, passing the Young Pretender, Birnham Oak and Beatrix Potter Garden. Then gently ascend the lovely Birnham Glen to the highest point on the walk. Then downhill to a short section of road to Rumbling Bridge and the first impressive water falls. The continuing beside the turbulent Braan to the Hermits Cave, Ossian Hall and second spectacular falls of the walk. Then back to Dunkeld, following the Braan. Please note the paths are good, with only occasional puddles, but the bridge over the Braan is gone, so we need to climb a short steep embankment onto the pavement across the road bridge to return to Dunkeld.
