A beautiful walk on part of the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast and inland with scenic views along the way.
Join Christine in an area we rarely visit but is well worth travelling to see.
This is not a long walk but it introduces you to a fascinating coastal area.
- you may even find a fossil on the beach!
N.B. We’ll split the walk into two sections, so we can return to the cars to have our lunch.
In the Morning, we will do the ‘Three Golden Cups’ walk, (approximately 3 miles) with only one hill at the beginning of the walk.
There could be some mud at the start if the weather has been wet but thereon, it will be easy walking.
The return has fabulous views of the coastline.
In the Afternoon, we’ll have a 1.5 mile walk to explore the sunken walled gardens of the now vanished mansion that once dominated the cliff here.
Dunraven House was home to the rich but now all that remains is the outline of the foundations.
We’ll see these remains when we walk onto the headland for the fabulous views they would have enjoyed looking out from the house.
Social after walk:
Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to The Three Golden Cups Pub.
