Walking in Swansea and beyond
Our group has been walking in Swansea, Gower and the surrounding South Wales area for over 40 years. We also have walking weekends away and foreign holidays.
We have about 400 members who enjoy our varied walks, as well as our regular social activities.
Many join to make new friends and explore the countryside in the safety of an experienced group of friendly walkers.
We offer a number of walks each week. The shorter walks are on Saturdays (6 miles), Mondays (4 miles) and summer evenings (3-4 miles). Longer walks take place on a Sunday and in the week. The walk listings provide more detail about the walk and where to meet. After a walk, we’ll often visit a nearby pub for refreshments and an impromptu social.
Our walking community
You’ll enjoy walking with us and will want to become a member. As a member, you will begin to receive updates about walks and social events.
There are national and local discounts available at some walking outlets when you show your membership card.
You can use the Ramblers App as a Sat Nav to find start points and other details of our walks and of other Ramblers’ groups. You also can select from thousands of quality-checked, self-led Ramblers Routes.
We work together with the local council to maintain footpaths. Our path maintenance work party has regular meetings to clear paths and install gates and bridges.
If you fancy leading a walk, then we can help you learn what is involved. There are also other ways to volunteer to help run the group.
