The East Rainton Walk is an easy 5.3 mile circular walk.
We meet at St Cuthberts Church, Quarry House Lane, East Rainton,

There are no toilets at the start of the walk.

Park sympathetically on the roads near the church.
There are 8 stiles on this walk which goes along old waggon ways, fields and meadows, and uphill to a good viewing point, where we will have lunch.
Directions: From the A19 going south, turn right onto the A690, turn into East Rainton at the “ Rainton Bridge” sign.

From the A1(M) going south. Leave at J62 onto A690, go to “Hetton le Hole” sign, turn right into Robin Lane. Follow road to East Rainton, turn left into Quarry House Lane.
